Met with the superintendent to confirm current union officers and determine who will participate in monthly meetings to review board agendas and key district matters. We collaborate regularly to address site needs, support students, and align on a shared vision by identifying what’s working and where improvement is needed.

Led a group of students to Washington, D.C. to learn about our nation's history and government in grades 6th-8th. I organized the trip and facilitated all communication with
parents.

CAPE 4 Family & Community Engagement

Organized and led an area qualifying track meet, overseeing staff and vendors. Collaborated with coaches from multiple districts and generated $9,000 in revenue for the sports program.

CAPE 5 Ethics & Integrity

Met with district administration to review the California School Dashboard data, with a focused discussion on chronic absenteeism trends across student groups. We analyzed contributing factors, identified areas of concern, and began developing targeted strategies to improve attendance and support student engagement

CAPE 6 External Context & Policy

Met with the superintendent as lead teacher to review the board agenda and address teacher concerns. We looked at the first reading of the classified position to support chronically absent students through home visits and family outreach. Also discussed updates to the pool and pool house refurbishment.
