About Me
My Background
Welcome!
My name is Renee Slater, and I am a dedicated educator and aspiring school administrator with a passion for inclusive, student-centered learning. With credentials in Multiple Subjects and Special Education, as well as authorizations in English Language Learners, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and Social Studies, I bring a comprehensive and compassionate approach to education.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching a wide range of grades and student populations, including Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 3rd grade, 4th grade, a 3rd- and 4th-grade combo class, 6th-grade English Learners, Mild to Moderate SDC Class, RSP, 6th-grade Social Studies, and 7th-grade Social Studies. In addition to my classroom experience, I’ve served as an Athletic Director and Mentor Teacher, supporting both students and colleagues in achieving their full potential.

As a lifelong learner and leader, I am committed to fostering a school culture where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired. Outside of school, you’ll often find me baking sourdough bread, rescuing dogs, or cheering on my children—my daughter, an active high school dancer with the local ballet company, and my son, now thriving as a college freshman.

Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I look forward to connecting and sharing more about my journey and vision for education.
